skipped bonelli

so...... I'm PISSED about skipping bonelli, the first stop of the kenda west US Cup series. I've had some great races on this course before, shoulda won last year.... but it was a lose lose situation this year, so I skipped it. again, paranoia, racing would only stuff this sickness further down my throat. i woke up feeling good today though, so of couse I think what could have been...... nah I would have gotten my ass kicked anyways by schultz, manny, sid, and jurekovic. training has not been going to plan with my new initiatives at work. frustrating. I've also been lagging on building up a super dialed race bike, i've been WAY too concerned about getting a hardtail frame this year. like that extra pound is going to make me any faster. I think I'm going to go back to my 07 sworks epic, it really doesn't look like i can finagle a free frame from anyone this time. 

here's my post europe action plan: trick out my epic build, get fit by Loyal + custom insoles, switch back to Roger Young style training plan, religiously stick to wellness formula, and move as soon as possible to a 'newer' place in Aliso. it might be paranoia, but I've noticed (for awhile now) that everyone in my Newport Beach neighborhood has some kind of cough or hack. only thing is that they are not competitive athletes, so makes no difference to their life......  

oh well, at least I have fresh tea and cookies as I type this......
